Everything people ask before they try Adoree.

About Adoree

What is Adoree?

Adoree is the world's first emotionally intelligent AI built specifically for couples. Each partner talks to Adoree privately by voice. Adoree synthesizes both perspectives without picking sides and gives each person honest, clear feedback and a real action plan.

The tagline says it plainly: Before Therapy, Try Adoree.

Is Adoree therapy?

Adoree is an AI relationship assistant for couples. It's built for the everyday work most couples need — communicating better, surfacing what matters, and not having the same fight on repeat. For acute mental health needs — depression, trauma, addiction — a licensed professional or crisis line is the right resource.

Adoree is for the everyday work most couples actually need: communicating better, surfacing what matters, and not having the same fight on repeat.

How is Adoree different from ChatGPT or other general AI assistants?

Three structural differences:

Dual perspective. Adoree talks to both partners separately and synthesizes both views. A general AI only knows what one person tells it.

Long-term memory. Adoree remembers across sessions and tracks ~14 relationship dimensions over time. A general chat resets every conversation.

Built-in tools. Arena (for disagreements), Pulse (for check-ins), Desires (for needs), Growth (for progress over time). Not open-ended chat - structured coaching.

How it works

How does Adoree work?

Each partner has a private voice conversation with Adoree. Adoree listens, asks the right questions, and remembers what matters.

Behind the scenes, Adoree synthesizes both partners' perspectives and surfaces hidden dynamics - circular fights, unmet desires, communication mismatches - that are hard to see from inside the relationship. Each partner gets honest, evidence-based feedback informed by what their partner shared, within consented disclosure rules.

Do my partner and I talk to Adoree together or separately?

Separately. Each partner has their own private space and their own voice sessions.

Talking separately is the whole point. Neither person performs for the other. Both get honest feedback that's actually useful. Then Adoree surfaces dynamics neither one sees alone.

Can I use Adoree solo if my partner won't sign up?

Yes. Many users start solo. You'll get personalized coaching based on what you share.

When your partner is ready, they can join via an invite link and Adoree unlocks the dual-perspective features. The solo experience is valuable on its own, and the upgrade path is friction-free.

Comparison

How is Adoree different from BetterHelp or traditional couples therapy?

Availability.Adoree is 24/7. No scheduling. No waitlist. No “next opening is in three weeks.”

Dual perspective. Most therapists see both partners together; Adoree talks to each privately and synthesizes the truth.

Continuity. Adoree remembers everything across sessions.

For deep clinical issues - trauma, mental illness, addiction - a licensed human therapist is still the right tool. For the everyday work of communicating better, Adoree is built for exactly that.

Privacy & safety

Can my partner read my private sessions?

No. Each partner has a private space. Your partner cannot see what you said, what you asked, or how Adoree responded.

The Desires module has an explicit direct / subtle / secret field on each entry, so you control whether and how Adoree discloses anything to your partner. Privacy is structural, not a setting you have to remember to flip.

Is my data private and secure?

Yes. Voice transcripts and inferred insights are encrypted at rest.

We do not sell your data, ever. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties beyond essential infrastructure providers (listed transparently in our Sub-Processors page).

You can export or delete your data at any time. Full details in the Privacy Policy.

What does Adoree do during a relationship crisis?

Adoree detects crisis indicators - domestic violence, suicidal ideation, severe acute mental health distress - and routes to human resources immediately:

988 - US Suicide and Crisis Lifeline
1-800-799-7233 - National Domestic Violence Hotline

Adoree is not a replacement for emergency mental health care. For chronic or clinical issues, Adoree will recommend a licensed human therapist.

Is Adoree safe for someone in an abusive relationship?

Adoree detects domestic violence indicators and routes to human resources, primarily 1-800-799-7233 (US National DV Hotline).

Adoree is not a substitute for the safety planning, legal support, and emergency resources that domestic violence specialists provide. If you are in an abusive relationship, please contact the DV hotline or local emergency services.

Adoree is built for healthy or struggling relationships - not for situations that require safety planning.
